Biography

Senior Associate, CN&R, she is a trial attorney who joined the Firm’s Litigation Department in 2008. Mrs. Rivera has participated in multiple civil and commercial litigation cases before state and federal courts, focusing her practice in insurance, banking, contracts and general civil litigation. She has practiced extensively in construction-related litigation for insurance companies, banks and developers, including payment and performance bond and indemnity agreements matters, construction loan workouts and friendly foreclosure cases. She has also participated in insurance coverage, collections of monies, foreclosures, torts and breach of contract cases at the trial, and appellate level, and also performs thorough legal research and opinions on multiple legal issues. Mrs. Rivera began her career as Law Clerk for the Puerto Rico Supreme Court’s Panel of Juridical Investigations and, later, as a Law Clerk for former Puerto Rico Supreme Court Associate Justice, Hon. Francisco Rebollo López, where she performed exhaustive legal research and prepared legal memoranda and drafts of opinions and judgments.
